Eunice Hjelmstad, 69, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Eunice Delphine Goughnour was born June 24, 1938, in Portland, North Dakota, daughter of William and Jennie (Braaten) Goughnour. She attended school in Hatton. Eunice married Ron Hjelmstad in 1958, in Hatton. Eunice was multi-talented. She held many jobs throughout her life including being an at-home mom, bookkeeper and bank teller. She also worked at a radio station, dental office and was resident supervisor at a Casper, Wyoming, youth treatment center. She enjoyed bridge, cribbage, dancing and loved to laugh. After Multiple Sclerosis slowed her down physically, she was still able to touch people through her enjoyment of life and her company. She is survived by her son, Greg (Donna) Hjelmstad, Lake in the Hills, IL; and two daughters, Kristy (Jim) Wooldridge, Toltec, AZ; and Holly Hjelmstad, Laramie, WY; a brother, Myron (Veronica) Goughnour, Fargo, ND; and two sisters, Phyllis Kost, Wahpeton, ND; and Ada (Elroy) Bjerke, Fargo, ND; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews and extended family; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Goughnour, West Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Victor Goughnour. Memorial Service: Friday, January 25, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Thursday, January 24, 2008, from 4-5:30 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Prayer Service: Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 5:30 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: in the spring.
