Eugene (Gene) Kay Doyle died at home on January 21, 2013 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and The Doves.
Gene was born on November 1, 1930, in Bellingham, MN to Clarabelle and Samuel Doyle. He met Yvonne Overby in Northfield, MN and they married on November 8th, 1952 after a 6 year courtship. Gene and Yvonne farmed for 15 years near Dennison, MN and eventually left the farm to join J. I. Case Company. After 13 years with J. I. Case, Gene was hired by Cargill Seed Division as a Territory Manager for North Dakota from which he retired in 1994 after 16 years of service. Gene and Yvonne then formed Doyle Seed and Services through which he continued to sell seed as a dealer for Cargill and subsequently Mycogen Seed until his death.
Gene was an extraordinary man who lived life with a sense of humor, an infectious positive attitude and intense devotion to family, friends and customers.
Gene is survived by his wife, Yvonne, and three children, Pamela (Russell), Kristin (Wayne) and Jeffrey (Launa) and 7 grandchildren - Cassie, Tony, Samantha (Parker), Ward, Connor, Tyler and Isabella.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Red River Valley or the American Heart Association.
