Elroy Helm

Elroy G. Helm, of Fargo, ND, 77, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Elroy George Helm was born on January 8, 1930, in Lincoln Valley, ND, to Louis and Vehona (Kirchenmann) Helm. He attended school in Lincoln Valley and graduated from McClusky High School. Elroy entered the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 – 1953. He went on to earn a degree from Dakota Business College. Elroy married Helen Nance on September 23, 1955, at Calvary Baptist Church in Kewanee, IL. He worked at the North Dakota Auto Club and at Sorenson Plumbing. The family moved to Kewanee, IL, but returned to Fargo in 1970. Elroy is survived by his wife, Helen; daughter, Jane (Patrick) Jones, Fargo, ND; twin granddaughters, Catherine and Alexandra Jones; brothers, Harold (Norma), Moorhead, MN; Kenneth (Arlyce), Carthage, MO; Wesley (Pearl) Helm, Fargo, ND; and sister, Violet (Stanley) Tomlinson, Turtle Lake, ND. Funeral Service: Friday, September 7, 2007(TODAY), at 2:00PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
