Ellen Rogne

Ellen J. Rogne, 80, of Fargo, ND, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in Fargo. Ellen Jeanette Quam was born March 4, 1928, to Elmer and Ingeborg (Horvick) Quam in Portland, ND. Ellen lived in Portland for six years before moving to Fargo, ND, where she graduated from Central High School in 1946. On June 12, 1949, Ellen was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Rogne. They made their home in Fargo, where she worked for Merchants National Bank, until her retirement from First Bank in 1990. Ellen was very involved with quilting and greeting cards at her church which she considered her extended family. She leaves behind many close friends at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church. Ellen is survived by her daughters, Linda (Rodger) Whitford, Fargo, ND; Peggy (Mark) Samuels, Moorhead, MN; and son, Steven Rogne, Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; one brother and one sister. Funeral Service: Saturday, October 25, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, October 24, 2008, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Friday, October 24, 2008, at 7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
