Elizabeth Ann Smith passed away March 27, 2018 at Eventide Fargo at the age of 96.
She was born to Florence and Harry Piers in Ironwood, MI on January 22, 1922. She graduated from NDSU in 1944 with a degree in Home Economics & Art.
Beth Ann married George Paul Smith June 8, 1944 and worked side by side with him on the farm near Amenia. In addition to her homemaking duties, she was an active member of Farm Bureau, a 4-H Leader for 10 years, and a member of Eastern Star.
When Beth Ann and George retired from the farm and moved to Fargo, she became active in PEO, Fine Arts and the YWCA Board. She designed the home they built on Prairiewood Drive.
She is survived by her children, Karen Rains, Madison, WI, Laurie (David) Rott, Fargo, ND, Dana Kroger, Cape Coral, FL, Kent (Patricia) Smith, Amenia, ND, and Scott (Deborah) Smith, Kansas City, KS; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, George; her parents and her sister, Alice Fraser.
Memorials are preferred to the YWCA or a charity of your choice.
