Eleanor Evanson

The Lord called home Eleanor Evanson, on November 29, 2007, the day after her 96th birthday, at ManorCare Nursing Home in Fargo, ND. Eleanor Sophia Evanson was born November 28, 1911, in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter of Theodore “Ted” and Ellen (Frisk) Evanson. She graduated from Fargo Central High School and in 1934, from North Dakota State University. Eleanor worked as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students at NDSU for 40 years. She was named Honored Alum in 1977. In 2006, she received her 75 year pin from Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Eleanor was dearly loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed her time off at Lake Melissa. While there, she attended Shoreham Chapel. Memorials are preferred to NDSU Development Foundation, First Lutheran Church or Shoreham Chapel. Eleanor is survived by her niece, Janice (David) Ames, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dorothy Rorvig; and brother-in-law, Carl Rorvig.
