Edward L. Van Duyn

Edward L. Van Duyn was born April 25, 1932 in Bagley, MN to Forest and Clara (Hillestad) Van Duyn. He grew up in Grand Forks, ND graduating from Grand Forks Central High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Edward married Marian Holm on June 20, 1959.
He worked at the Grand Forks Herald retiring in 1994 after 39 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
Edward passed away on September 2, 2021. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Fargo VA medical staff for the care they provided him.
Edward is survived by his wife Marian; Daughter Carol (Bruce) Wessman; Granddaughters, Erin and Katie Wessman; Sisters Ione Halvorson, Marion Jonson, and Janice Gransberg; as well as many nieces and nephews;
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Betty Moen, brothers Forest Jr., Harold, Vernon and Roger.
A private family burial service will be held at the Fargo Veterans National cemetery.
