Earlise Elaine Duciaume, 80, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020, at her home in Frontier, ND.
She was born on June 24, 1940, in Bowesmont, ND. She attended high school in Kennedy, MN. Earlise married Eugene Duciaume on August 11, 1956, in Kittson County, MN. The couple lived in several towns during the first years of their marriage before making their home in Fargo in 1968.
Earlise joined Atonement Lutheran Church in 1987, where she was an active member. Earlise was a regular member of the quilting group; she was a greeter, worked in the coffee shop, and made crafts and baked goods for the bazaars, as well as help, serve lunch for many special occasions.
Earlise was a homemaker. Later in life, she worked at the daycare at Atonement, then was employed for many years as a nanny for Brian and Penny Solum’s daughter, Sami, and then for Macy, Kellie and Justin Wanzek’s daughter.
Earlise enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling, doing crafts, baking, and sitting on her deck, enjoying the outdoors and the company of neighbors that would stop and sit with her for a while. She will be missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, parents, Vincent and Ruby Herseth, and sister, Ida Mae Van Tassel.
She is survived by her two sons, Sheldon (Debbie) Duciaume of West Fargo and Shaun (Candi Rupprecht) Duciaume of Fargo, three grandchildren, Aimee Duciaume of WF, Andrea (Cory) Cullen of Moorhead, and Nicole (Joe) Tuinstra of Erie, ND, aunt, Delores Peterson, nephew, Tom Van Tassel of Minneapolis, MN, and three great-grandchildren, Justin, Hunter, and Avery.
A private family service will be held. The service will be live-streamed on the Atonement Lutheran Church website at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2020. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
