Durand Bender

Durand Bender, 39, of Fargo, ND, died peacefully Thursday, April 5, 2007, surrounded by his family. Durand was born on July 6, 1967, to Glenn and Jenney Bender in Fort Dodge, Iowa. In 1972, they moved to Fargo, ND. In Fargo, Durand attended Woodrow Wilson Special Education until he graduated in 1988. He then attended Friendship Day Support Program. Through them he worked at the Olive Garden for the past 12 years and his latest accomplishment was working as an Assistant Secretary for Friendship. Durand led a full life full of smiles and laughs. He enjoyed many times on the farm driving trucks, four-wheelers, snowmobiles and ATVs. He also loved to play cards…especially when he would win. Durand also enjoyed singing on his microphone and playing drums. His renditions of ‘Kum Ba Yah’ will be sorely missed. Durand brightened the lives of everyone he met. He always had a hug or a handshake for you whether you thought you needed one or not. He will be deeply missed by his parents Glenn & Jenney; brother, Shaun; sister, Tiffany and everyone whose lives he touched. A prayer service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 1:00pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo, ND.
