Duane Pownell

Duane Russell Pownell, 68, Dolan Springs, Arizona, formerly of Fargo, ND, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. He was traveling through the city. Duane was born to Russell and Gertrude (Spiesz) Pownell January 1, 1939, in Fargo, North Dakota. He grew up and went to school in Fargo. He loved being “On the Road Again” traveling to flea markets and swap meets, selling sports cards, antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed eating at senior centers for the food and good conversations. He was devoted to watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He is survived by four sisters, Bernice (Arthur) Arett, Moorhead, MN; Lois Falk, Minneapolis, MN; Phyllis Waymire, LaPorte, IN; and Evelyn (Jerome) Henry, Spokane, WA; his beloved traveling companion, Charlotte Fielder; and many nieces and nephews. Duane’s parents were deceased. Family and friends may gather Saturday, March 31, 2007, from 1-3 PM. Celebration of his life will be at 3:00 PM.
