Duane Harold Golliet was born September 8, 1948 in Fargo, ND to Harold and Violet (Kominski) Golliet. Duane grew up in Nome, ND and graduated from Enderlin High School in 1967. He served in the army from 1968-1970.
Duane studied auto mechanics in Wahpeton (NDSCS). In 1973 he began his career with the City of Fargo; he worked there until retiring in 2012.
Duane married Sue Rupp on July 29, 1999. Duane loved doing wood working; he could fix anything. He also enjoyed metal detecting, pottery, stained glass, and collecting old toy trains. Sue and Duane loved traveling and while doing so, did metal detecting & prospecting for Gold!!! Duane enjoyed hanging out with his grandchildren. He loved to be like them at heart.
His survivors include his wife, Sue; children, Heather (Adam) Endres of Moorhead, MN, and their children Kailyn and Bailey; Kayla (Fiancé Brandon Riesen) of Moorhead, MN, and her children, Charlye, Beau Hoherz and Devere Riesen; Chas Peppel of Fargo, and his daughter Taelyn; Chris (Fiancé Delaney Ford) of Kailua Kona, HI and their daughter Elsie; Mary Peppel (Nicholas Noia) of Detroit Lakes, MN and her children Kaige and Cadeyn Peppel; Tarah Sather of Fort Coliins, CO; Kirk Golliet of ND and his children, Chase, Sasha, and Keenen Golliet.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; brother, Jay; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Larry & Peg Rupp and brothers-in-law, Craig Rupp and Paul Gillmore.
