Dorothy Smith, 92, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo.

She entered this world on October 30, 1928 in Grand Forks, ND, born to Carl and Margaret (Kneip) Olson.

Dorothy married Albert P. Smith on July 7, 1947 in Moorhead, MN. They made their home in Fargo, ND and to this union three children were born. Dorothy and Al owned and operated the Northside Dairy Queen for 30 years.

Dorothy was an Eastern Star member for over 50 years. She also was a charter member of the Quilters Guild of North Dakota. Dorothy loved to quilt.

She is survived by her two sons, Dale (Donna) Smith, Fargo, ND; Wayne (Judy) Smith, Horace, ND; daughter, Linda (Don) Covell, Hickson, ND; sister, Charlotte Adam-Wardle; grandchildren, Rachel (John) Butler, Sonia (Wes) Agnew, Jason Smith, Ryan Smith; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; siblings, Viola Doeden and Donald Olson.
