Dorothy Schonteich-Roeser, 85, passed away on October 11th 2010 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo North Dakota. Dorothy Enockson was born on May 20, 1925 in Enderlin North Dakota to parents Sigurd and Clara Enockson. While living in Enderlin, Dorothy was president of American Legion Auxiliary, president of Enderlin Golf Club, president of Women’s Bowling League, and was a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary. In 1972, Dorothy and her daughter, Jane, moved to Hopkins, Minnesota, after the death of her husband, Kenneth Schonteich. In 1975, she started working in retail at Powers Department Store. She worked in retail until 2005, when she retired from Macy’s. After retiring, she moved to Fargo to be closer to her children. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gus Enockson; a sister, Delores Clark; husband, Kenneth Schonteich; and husband, Howard Roeser; and children, Kim Schonteich and Jane Albeiter-Schonteich. Dorothy is survived by children, Barry (Monica) Schonteich, Grand Forks, ND; and Susan (Gary) Cavett, Fargo, ND; sister, Helen Murray, Hopkins, MN; brother, Herbert Enockson, New Rockford, ND; sister-in-law, Mildred Enockson, Valley City, ND; daughter-in-law, Sharon Schonteich, Denver, CO; nephew, Kip Clark, Las Vegas, NV; and niece, Deirdre (Don) Nygaurd, Baker, MT. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren Dorothy was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo. Burial will be at Enderlin Cemetery. A prayer service will be held on October 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at First Lutheran Church in downtown Fargo, ND.
