Dorothy Linstad

Dorothy Linstad, 84, died Sunday April 1, 2007, at Minneapolis, MN. Dorothy Jean Iverson was born to Roy and Thora (Dahl) Iverson on May 18, 1922 in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Moorhead, MN. Dorothy attended school in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1940. She attended and graduated from Fargo Business College. She worked for the State Department in Washington, D.C. during World War II. Dorothy then returned to Fargo and worked for Goldberg Grain in Moorhead, MN. Dorothy married Leonard Linstad on August 23, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Together they raised two sons in Fargo. Dorothy was a longtime active member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching the activities and sports of her six grandchildren. One of Dorothy’s joys was keeping in contact with her extended family. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Leonard Linstad, Fargo, ND; two sons, Paul (Cindy) Linstad, Fargo, ND and Dean (Sherie Lindemann) Linstad, Fargo, ND, and 6 grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Jayne, Jennifer, Alex, and Jonathan, all of Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Gladys and Delores; and her brother, Robert. Funeral service: Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 5-7pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Prayer Service: Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 7:00pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
