Dorothy Hentschele

Dorothy G. Hentschele, 89, of Fargo, ND died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Dorothy Geneva Sletmoe was born August 21, 1918 in Barrie Township, Leonard, ND to Arthur and Alma (Berkley) Sletmoe. She attended country school in rural North Dakota. Dorothy completed her GED in 1988. Dorothy married Frank Hentschele on April 20, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Dorothy worked for Community Grocery in south Fargo for close to 20 years. Dorothy was active in school volunteer programs when her daughter was school aged, including the PTA and advising FHA. She was also an active member of First Lutheran Church in Fargo. She was a member of Wednesday Fellowship and Women’s Deborah Circle for over 50 years. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Freeman) Mjolsness, Plymouth, MN; two grandchildren, Julie (Brent) Lindstrom and Melinda (Timothy) Reiter, both of Minneapolis, MN; three great grandchildren, Anna Reiter, Andrew Lindstrom, and Joseph Lindstrom; and a brother, Morris (Patricia) Sletmoe, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and brother, Arnold. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church Wednesday Fellowship or Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral service: Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 1:00pm at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
