Dorothy Jeanne (Aas) Coleman, 67, of Fargo passed away May 8, 2020.
Dorothy was born in New Rockford, ND on September 28, 1952 to Dorwin and Maxine (Myhra) Aas.
Throughout her childhood Dorothy enjoyed Campfire Girls, riding horses and as the baby of the family being a bit mischievous.
After graduating from New Rockford High School in 1971, Dorothy attended college and training in Valley City and Fargo.
Dorothy remained in the Fargo-Moorhead area throughout her life. She was well known for her incredible work ethic and spent the last 20+ years working for John Deere.
Dorothy’s son, Joey, was her biggest source of pride and accomplishment and her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys.
A lake girl at heart Dorothy loved spending summers at the family lake cottage on Pelican Lake. Some of her fondest memories were of family time by the lake.
Dorothy enjoyed riding motorcycles, doing puzzles, and scouring flea markets for unique collectibles. She was an avid baker and according to anyone that tried them her chocolate chip cookies and caramels were “the best in the world”.
Dorothy will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her sense of humor, strong-will and overall care and compassion.
She is survived by her son, Joey (Jerica) Coleman, grandsons Logan and Wyatt, granddaughter Chelsea, West Fargo, ND, sister Jonelle (Jim) Fadden, Sammamish, WA, brother Marty Aas, Fargo, ND, niece Michelle (Bryce) Anderson, Snoqualmie, WA, nephew Mike (Ali) Fadden, Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held and streamed here on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 11:30 A.M.
