Dorothy Bartholomay

Dorothy (Moe) Bartholomay was born June 9, 1926 to Ole and Pauline Moe in Christine, ND. She passed away suddenly on September 21, 2017 in Arizona.

Dorothy married Dallas Barker June 17, 1944 and raised three children, Linda, Steven and Gary. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for her children. After her children grew, she was a foster parent for newborns for Lutheran Welfare Society. She gave care to more than thirty babies over a period of many years. Dallas and Dorothy divorced in the mid-sixties and Dorothy went to work for the Veterans Hospital where she met her second husband, Virgil, who passed away in 1984. Dorothy worked for several more years and lived independently after retirement until 2011 when she moved to Ramsey, MN with her daughter, Linda. Dorothy and Linda moved to Arizona in 2015 and Dorothy spent her last years in the warm Arizona sun.

She is preceded in death by siblings Harlan, Pearl, Irene and Vernon; survived by sister Donna Rehm, Middle River, MN; daughter Linda Olson, Arizona; sons Steven Barker, Arizona; Gary Barker, Mentor, MN; grandchildren Jyl Acheson (Chuck Powser), Arizona and David Barker (Alyssa), Princeton, MN.
