Doris B. Johnson passed away at the age of 101 on Thursday, April 18 at Bethany Retirement Living on University.
Doris was born on October 21, 1917 in Kindred, ND to William and Esther Johnson, where she was raised. She moved to Billings, MT in the 1960’s and worked in a dental lab. She returned to Fargo and was employed at Welu Dental Lab for many years until retirement in 1981. She resided at Trollwood Village Apartments for over 30 years before moving to Bethany Retirement Living in 2018.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway. She loved to do crafts, knitting, working on puzzles, and crocheting (especially baby beanies for the newborns at Sanford Hospital). She enjoyed working with the ladies at the church for all functions for many years and loved having coffee with her friends at Trollwood in her later years.
Doris is survived by her nieces, Linda (Jim) Hirchert, Fargo, Darlene (Dick) Redfield, Fargo, her nephew, David (Kayne) Spooner, Denver, sister-in-law, Mavis Johnson, great-nephew, Shaune (Veronica) Redfield, Fargo, great-niece, Kate (Jon) Lansing, Denver, great-great nephew, Easton Redfield, and great-great niece, Sophie Lansing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Floyd and Earl, and sister, Harriet.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25 @ 11:00am at First Lutheran Chapel with a visitation one hour prior.
