Doris Johnson

Doris Johnson, 86, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Doris Lucille Kyllo was born January 25, 1922, in Fargo, North Dakota, daughter of Theodore and Minnie (Halvorson) Kyllo. She grew up on the family farm, north of West Fargo. Doris attended rural school and graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High School. Doris married Aldo Johnson, June 29, 1940, at Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Aldo died in 2005. Doris was a homemaker and raised her three sons in West Fargo and Fargo. She loved bowling and any out door activities such as gardening, waterskiing and golfing. Doris is survived by her three sons, Michael Gene (Patricia Anne) Johnson, Park Rapids, MN; Timothy Neal (Sheryl) Johnson, Fargo, ND; and Bruce Allen (Janet) Johnson, Aberdeen, SD; two sisters, Pearl Colby, Renton, WA; and Grace Ward, Cambridge, MN; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aldo; brothers, Richard, Gilbert, and Archie Kyllo; and sisters, Ethel Quam and Marian Johnson. Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 21, 2008, 10am at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, May 20, 2008, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Tuesday, at 7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
