Doris Cleven

Doris A. Cleven, (formerly of Fargo, ND) died Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Temple, TX, from complications of surgery. Doris was born on October 21, 1931, in Mayville, ND. She attended Mayville High School and Aaker’s Business College in Fargo. Doris married Thomas Cleven of Galesburg/Hunter, North Dakota on March 7, 1948. In 1950, they moved to Fargo, ND. She was employed by the Fargo Elks Club and Dakota Photo Engraving. After retiring, Doris and her husband built a home on Big Cormorant Lake in Minnesota. They lived there for ten years. In 1997, they moved to Castle Rock, CO, where they lived until 2000, when they moved back to Fargo, ND. In 2003, they moved to Copperas Cove, TX. Doris is survived by six children, Timothy (Valli) Cleven, Andover, MN; Ray (Bernadette) Cleven, Copperas Cove, TX; Rebecca (Gary) Cooper, Jamestown, ND; Diane Cleven, Copperas Cove, TX; Patricia (Kenneth) Morrison, Aurora, CO; Paula Cleven, Aurora, CO; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Ingebretson, Fargo, ND; Neal Nelson, Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Shane Cleven; sister, Gladys Nelson; two brothers Kenneth and Martin Ingebretson; and brother-in-law, Norman Nelson. Funeral Service: Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5-7PM at the church. Prayer Service: Friday, March 27, 2009 at 7PM at the church. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND at a later date.
