Donna Mclaughlin

Donna McLaughlin, 84, of Fargo, died April 18, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Donna M. McLaughlin was born September 16, 1923 in Mahnomen, MN, the daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth Holland. She attended Marshal High School and Moorhead State. On December 26, 1947, Donna married Kenneth McLaughlin at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Donna was a vibrant, compassionate, humorous and outspoken woman who championed women’s rights. She worked for Boeing during WWII as a key punch operator. She was an officer in Eastern Star, a Camp Fire Girl Leader and a volunteer for MeritCare. Donna will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and community. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years. She is survived by her four children, Richard (Colleen), Patricia McLaughlin, all of Fargo, Annie McLaughlin (Chuck Overcast), Whitefish, MT, Nancy McLaughlin (Al Dulay), San Francisco, CA; two sisters, Shirley Knie of Riverside, CA and Betty Lou Money of Hallock, MN; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Memorials preferred to Planned Parenthood of Fargo. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Hope Lutheran Church - North Campus, Fargo, ND. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
