Donna Mae Maasjo (Dow) Fargo, ND passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Sanford Hospital with family by her side.
Donna was born June 26, 1928 in Moorhead, MN to Otto and Gladys (Knudson) Dow. Growing up she lived some in Hillsboro, ND, but mostly Fargo. She married Clarence M. Maasjo, August 13, 1945.
Donna was a waitress for many years before graduating from Minnesota Technical Community College in her early 40's. She worked and retired from Pioneer Mutual Life Insurance Company. Her retirement home was on Lake Lida, Pelican Rapids, MN. Donna enjoyed boating, pontoon rides, fishing, golfing, and was on a bowling league.
She loved the Minnesota lakes area, nature, gardening, music and travel. Donna was very patriotic and had a real respect for all military. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1954, Unit #2. Veteran's Day was always acknowledged and celebrated when possible.
She is survived by her children who she loved very much and was so proud of; Calvin (Barb) Pelican Rapids, MN; Michael (Patti) Hawley, MN; Gary (Lois) Melrose, MN; Kim (David) Joyce Fargo, ND; Debbie, Minneapolis, MN; a brother David (Shari) Yardley Rochert, MN; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of nearly 52 years, Clarence; and brother, Charles Dow; Redmond, WA.
