Donna E. Hoff

Our mother, grandmother and friend, Donna Erickson Hoff, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND.

Donna was born November 21, 1922 in Twin Valley, MN. She went through high school in Twin Valley, MN and attended New York Hair Dressing School in Fargo, ND. After graduating, she decided that being a beautician and standing on her feet all day, was not for her. She then started her successful career at Northwestern Bell, retiring in 1984.

But Donna wasn't about facts. Her focus was church, family and friends. Wherever Donna was, whatever she was doing, from various leadership positions, working as a wedding coordinator for 25 years, singing in the choir at First Lutheran Church, to board member at Dakota Tell Co, mothering, grand mothering, she sprinkled everything with her hard work, quick wit and generous heart.

Her love of travel took her all over the United States, Germany, Norway and China. Her family is indicative of the multi-cultural diversity of which she was so proud.

Donna will be welcomed Home by her parents, siblings, an infant daughter, her husband, Robert Senior, son, Robert Junior and many friends.

Survivors are: Pam (Terry) Lacy, Pelican Rapids, MN; Bettye (Jim) Van Erem, West Fargo, ND; Barbara (Dan) Restad, Victoria, MN; grandchildren, Chris (Annie) Hagen, Rich (Jody) Hagen, Charlie Hagen, Leah (Wendell) Lister, Jared Haaland (Michelle), Bach (Thi) Nguyen, Ethan (Tammy) Nguyen, Nick Froning (Chelsie), J.T. Froning (Brenda), Kristina Hoff, Katie (Danny ) Hoxter; 11 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who will stay behind to carry out her legacy we so value.

We want to express our sincere appreciation to the Elim staff and Anna, Donna's roommate, for the love and care they gave her.
