Don Rose passed away Wednesday, June 28 2023 at St. Catherine’s North Nursing Home in Fargo, ND

Donald Clarence Rose was born to Clarence and Margaret (Larson) Rose on June 9, 1939 in Jamestown, ND. He grew up in Wimbledon, ND graduating from Wimbledon High School. He joined the Navy. Don then went on to the University of North Dakota where he obtained his degree in accounting. This began his career as an accountant for the US Government in Denver, CO. He completed his Master’s Degree in Business. He lived in Denver for over 50 years where he married and fathered three children, Elizabeth, Susan and Jonathan.

In 1988, he married Diane Charbonneau. After retiring from the US Government, he worked for H & R Block for 11 years. He enjoyed computers. In 2011, the couple moved to Bismarck, ND. When Don’s health began to fail in 2021, they moved to Fargo to be closer to family.

Don is survived by his wife, Diane and her two children. Kelly (Chuck) Schmidt and Mike (Lisa) Miller and her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is survived by his aforementioned daughters and a brother, James. He is preceded in death by his son, Jonathan.

Services will be held August 3, 2023 at Hanson - Runsvold Funeral Home with burial at the Fargo National Veterans Cemetery in Harwood, ND.
