Donald Lusk

Donald E. Lusk, 87, of Fargo, ND, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Sanford Health, Fargo. Don Lusk was born June 25, 1924 in Fessenden, North Dakota, son of Chester and Hedwig (Mollman) Lusk. He grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School and Jamestown College. Don served in the U.S. Army 1943-1946. He married Doris M. Brownson September 5, 1948 in Jamestown. Don was employed by the Fargo branch of the General Motors Acceptance Corporation. He retired in 1986 as Assistant Control Branch Manager. Don and Doris spent their winters at their home in Sarasota, Florida. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fargo, where he served as Ruling Elder, on the Board of Trustees and as a Deacon. He was a member of the American Legion, B.P.O. Elks and past member of the Fargo Exchange Club. His wife and daughters were a very important part of Don’s life as were his friends and family. Don was always there to help people in need or to lend his resources and time to help others. His dedication to his church was a very important part of his life. Don enjoyed bridge, whist and doing his crossword puzzles. Don is survived by his wife, Doris, Fargo; daughter, Linda (Keith) Stoetzer, Fargo; and daughter, Janet Lusk, Seattle, WA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye and Bob Cooch, Fargo; sister-in-law, Frances Bellon, Jamestown, ND; eight nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters. Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley and First Presbyterian Church, Fargo. Memorial Service: Thursday, April 5, 2012, at 2:00 PM, at First Presbyterian Church, Fargo. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
