Donald J. Lewis was born August 24, 1944 in Fargo, ND, to Rollo and Cora (Winjum) Lewis. He grew up and attended Fargo Public Schools. Don graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1962. He earned an associates degree from the Wahpeton State School of Science. Don worked in the printing business for a short period of time before joining the family business, Lewis Brothers as a gravel truck driver. He continued with the company until he joined Kost Brothers and later Aggregate. Donald loved to ride motorcycles and snowmobiles, hunting and building car and truck models.
Don was a member of the FM Crusaders Motorcycle Club and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was an active volunteer with the Harbor School in Moorhead, MN.
Donald is survived by his brother, George (Edna Mae) Lewis; brothers-in-Law, Roger Arzt and Don Holthe; sister-in-law, Sandy Lewis; 16 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne, Ronald, Leonard and Bob; and sisters, Lois Oberg, Carol Arzt, and Mary Holthe.
Memorials are preferred to Ethos Hospice or Gigi's Playhouse.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 10:00am in the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
