Donald Larson

Don Larson 74, of Fargo, ND, died, in his home, Tuesday Aug, 30, 2011 after a very brave and courageous battle with cancer. He was under the care of Hospice, with his sister Lois by his side, when he went home to be with the Lord. Don was born Feb. 10, 1937 to Roland and Ethel (Schroeder) Larson of Fargo. The eldest of 4 children, he grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1955. While in High School, Don began working at Larson Brake Service, which his father owned. He continued working there as both the owner and operator until shortly before his death. Don was a very humble, hard working, honest man who took great pride in offering exceptional service to all of his customers. He had established a faithful group of loyal customers who entrusted their brake work to him for generations. Don enjoyed cars and motorcycles but his greatest joy was in giving generously to his friends and family. He is survived by two brothers and a sister: Bob (Joyce Johnson) Larson of Surprise, AZ, Bill (Joann) Larson, of Mesa, Arizona and Lois (Bruce) Wenger, of Fargo, ND. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Saturday, September 10, 2011, 11:00 AM at Hanson- Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
