Donald E. Berg, 76, died October 27, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.
Donald Berg was born September 11, 1936, in Fargo, to Myrtle (Bryntesen) Berg.
Donald attended school in Rugby, ND. He married Albertina Koble on September 11, 1962, in Orrin, ND. Don graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received his Master’s Degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND.
He worked construction and law enforcement until 1975, when loss of eyesight caused him to make a career change. He then worked for Badlands Human Services, until retiring as Regional Program Administrator in 1998. Donald was in the US Air Force and North Dakota National Guard.
Donald was a member of the Masonic Lodge #84 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter #2 in Grand Forks, ND. He enjoyed country and old time music, working in the yard and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by Tina, his wife, Pamela (Daniel) Haley, Lakeville, MN; sons, Allen (Lita) Berg, Fargo, ND; Daniel Berg, Las Vagas, NV; brothers, Rodney (Jeanne) Berg, Rugby, ND; Roger(Adeline) Berg, Lake Metigoshe-Bottineau, ND; sisters, Lois (Richard) Volk, Rugby, ND; Mary Lou (Richard) Wangler, Rugby, ND; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
