Dollyann Gravalin, 82, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo, ND.
Dollyann Wendt was born February 24, 1930, in Fargo, ND, to Charles and Clara (Hanson) Wendt. She attending area schools and graduated from Fargo South. She married Herbert J. Gravalin on February 13, 1956, in Crow Wing County, MN.
Dollyann loved her life at her homestead in North Fargo near NDSU. She was a wonderful mother, awesome cook and loved to garden. By her own admission, she was quite cantankerous, but lived a full life and had the attitude to prove it; the wisdom of which she instilled in her daughters and granddaughter, sometimes against their will. At heart, she was truly a good and caring soul, forever putting the needs, wants and dreams of those she cared for before her own. Her caring nature extended into her work serving meals first at Ben Franklin School and later at Sanford Health.
Dollyann is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Morgan) Stroh, Grand Forks, ND, and Debra (Lloyd) Wegler, Eden Prairie, MN; granddaughter, Amy Stroh, Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Virginia Wendt, Minneapolis, MN, and Phyllis Norgon, Fargo, ND; and brother, Eugene Wendt, Washington D.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Wanda Kreps, and brothers Lewis and Charles Wendt.
