Diane S. Thompson, age 84, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
Diane Sharon Thompson was born on September 28, 1940, in Elgin, ND, to Arnold and Agnes (Felton) Anderson. She attended several schools while growing up and graduated from Fargo Central in 1959. She met and married Barton Thompson in 1962. They had two children, Deborah and Michael, and made their home in Fargo.
Diane worked for the Fargo Water Department for 9 years and then stayed home to raise her children. She enjoyed cooking, yardwork, and traveling to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her husband, Barton, Fargo, ND; daughter, Deborah Thompson, Castle Rock, CO; son, Michael Thompson, Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Lance, Brittany, and Joshua Thompson, all of Castle Rock, CO; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Doreen; and step-father.
