Dennis Anderson, 73, of Fargo, ND passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Sanford Health in Fargo.
Dennis Lee Anderson was born April 17, 1941 in Fargo, ND to Clinton and Mary (Larsen) Anderson. He grew up and attended schools in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High in 1959. He served in the US Navy for two years, after which he moved back to Fargo and began his career in 1964 as an over the road trucker.
He met Sandra Westphal while she was working as a waitress at a restaurant in Milwaukee, WI. On May 17, 1969 they married in Fargo, ND.
In 1974, he added towing to his business, Anderson Trucking. He and Sandy raised their two children, Andy and Katie, in Fargo, as he grew the business. In 2011 Andy took over the business, with Dennis continuing to work for the business on the road.
Dennis truly loved trucking and towing, and was blessed to have been able to make a living doing it. His best buddy was his dog, Louie, who misses him dearly. He also enjoyed the time that he was able to spend fishing.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandy; son, Andy (Jennifer) Anderson, Fargo, ND; Katie (Derek) Tuel, Wolverton, MN; nine grandchildren, Chelsea, Nathan, Brody, Mya Kay, and Jax Anderson; and Felix, Sage, Kash, and Jude Tuel; brother, Richard (Pearl) Anderson; niece, Michelle (Dan) Kramer; brother-in-law, Chris Westphal; sisters-in-law, Susan (Ron) Blazek, and Carol Zabkowicz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Stanley Zabkowicz.
