Debra Sue (Moeller) Landphere was born on July 14, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin to Wilbert (Web) Moeller and Marlyn (Strege) Moeller. Debbie was baptized on August 8, 1954 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Lidgerwood, ND. Her father was in the United States Air Force and the family lived in many different places including Newfoundland, Nebraska, Alaska, and New Mexico. Debbie was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Alamogordo, NM on May 26, 1968. In late 1970 Debbie and her family moved to Fargo, ND. Debbie attended and graduated from Fargo South High in 1972.
Debbie has two daughters, Jennifer and Katie who were both born in Fargo, ND. They moved to Lake Isabella, California, where they lived for six years. In 1987 they moved back to Fargo.
Debbie worked for MeritCare Health Services for ten years, during which time she attended Minnesota State University Moorhead. In 1994 Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she continued on with her studies and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 1995. Debbie worked for The Forum newspaper from 1998 thru 2000, when she joined Innovis Health. Debbie continued to work for Innovis Health until January 2007 when her cancer returned and she was unable to work.
Debbie loved movies, especially the classics. She loved to travel. She had many interests including genealogy, photography, crafts, and she loved to read. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she loved very much.
Debbie died November 27, 2016 at her home under the care of Hospice.
She is survived by her mother, Marlyn Moeller (Fargo); her daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Welk and their children Megan and Matthew (Maple Grove, MN); daughter, Katie (Kirk) Davis (Fargo); sister, Wanda (Fred) Strege (Wahpeton, ND); brothers, David Moeller (Mayville, ND), and Mike (Mary) Moeller (Lake Park, MN); many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Wilbur and Carolyn Strege and Arnold and Clara Moeller; aunts and uncles, Janice and Harold Honl, Arlene and Arnold Mattson and uncles, Myron Strege and Darrel Moeller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
