Debra "Deb" Ann Alvarez, 66, Valley City, ND, died September 22, 2024 in SMP-Health, St. Raphael.
Deb was born to Juan Anzaldua Godinez and Mary Naomi (Stewart) Godinez on March 29, 1958 in Mission, TX. She married Eluterio Alvarez on May 19, 1975. She enjoyed coloring, drawing, singing, dancing, cooking, and cleaning.
In the loving memory of our mother Debra Ann Alvarez, who passed away September 22, 2024 at 12:05 am. She was the most amazing mother who we were proud of, a mother of 7 kids who loved her dearly. She was the most kind person that I have ever seen. She gave off her back to anyone who needed it. She was a selfless person. She would always try to make people feel happy, even if they were strangers. She was a courageous and beautiful soul. She had the spirit of a true angel. She was a gentle, sweet, and kindhearted person and mother. She taught us to believe in ourselves and that if we did good to others, they would do good to us.
She was a woman of God. She was a devoted mother and wife to us and to our father; a real mother of love and faith. We, as her children, will miss her dearly. We will walk to the heavens with you, Mom. To the earth, we will wait until God calls us home. Together, you will be in our hearts. Mom, we will only be separated for just a moment of time. You will never walk alone and will never be alone, for God is with us. Your favorite scripture was Psalm 23. We will always believe that he is our Lord and Savior, just like you believed in Him. Thank you, Mom, for being a loving and understanding mother to us. You were the one that we could go to, our best friend. Now you can be with God. You fulfilled your mission here on earth, Mom. Now you can be in heaven with your mother and father. Soon, we will be together again. Love you, mom.
Deb is survived by her children, Paul A. Alvarez, Tina L. Alvarez, Amanda L. Alvarez, Carla Jean Alvarez, Andrea Jane Alvarez, Derek Luther Alvarez, and Cassandra D. Alvarez; grandchildren (Tina's children), Linda Pena, Jessie Pena, Mathew Pena, Sabrina Pena, Brianna Pena, and Drake Pena; grandchildren (Derek's children), Joesie, Bethany, Jaden, Naveah, Derek Luther "DJ", Aryanna "Nana", Bryson, Jason, and Ezra; grandchildren (Amanda's children), Alex III Torres, Retter Torres, and Raymon Torres; and Paul's child, Esmer; siblings, Johnny, Michael, Jeffery, David, and Edith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ethan and Caroline.
