David Arthur Knutson, 67, Fargo, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.
David was born in Warren, MN on August 26th 1948 to parents Arthur and Hjordys. He graduated from Warren High School and was very active in sports and academics. David attended the University of North Dakota and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting.
Upon graduation, David moved to Fargo, ND and worked for Broeker Hendrickson (Eide Bailly), Gate City Bank and Barrett Mobile Homes as a CPA.
David met Nancy Faeth in 1976 and they were married in 1977 in Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo. They had two sons, Brett (Natalie Rockow) and Troy (Sydney) and a grandson Titus.
David loved to golf, hunt, fish, and spend time with friends and family at the lakes. He was also a big North Dakota State athletics fan and attended many games over the years.
For the last 30 years of his life, David fought valiantly against the devastating effects of progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He faced each day with optimism and determination despite the hurdles that MS forced him to overcome.
David was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Hjordys. He is survived by his ex-wife, sons with families and brother, Richard (Karen).
Memorials are preferred to Knutson Scholarship at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Warren, MN.
