Dr. David Brant, DDS, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2109, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas with family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

David was born in Fargo, ND, May 3, 1951. He attended Fargo Public Schools and graduated from South High in 1969. Once at NDSU the track coach wanted David for the track team, recruiting him three years after his last track meet in high school.

David graduated with a BS degree in zoology. He coached and refereed youth hockey for the School Board, Park Board, South High and local youth organizations. David enjoyed playing amateur men's hockey with the Fargo Blazers in the northwest hockey league during this time. David belonged to Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and remained in contact with many of his fraternity brothers.

David received his dental education from Creighton University, graduating in 1979 and established his solo dental practice in Fargo. David remained in contact with many of his dental school classmates.

David was preceded in death by both his parents.

David wishes to thank all friends and school classmates, especially Joel Young, Lee Swanson and Pat Scherling, along with many others for being in his life.

We had a lot of fun!

Cancer touches many lives and David's journey was made easier due to all the help of family and dear friends during this awful time. They were his angels. His wife Connie was by his side throughout his cancer journey. Special thanks to Lee Swanson and his help in getting David to out of town medical appts.
