David Jerome Anderson

David Anderson, 73, beloved Father, Brother, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Eventide in Fargo.

David Jerome Anderson entered this world on November 28, 1945 in Oakes, ND, born to Elmer and Viola (Meyer) Anderson.

David graduated from North Sargent High School in 1963. He went on to college in Valley City and Jamestown. David married Carolyn Koenecke in 1967. They had a daughter, Kristi, born in 1969. He went on to marry Sherri Nordlund and they were together for 28 years.

David was employed with Job Service North Dakota for over 30 years. His hobbies included golfing, watching sports (especially the Minnesota Twins) and listening to music . Not only was Dave a music lover, he could recite song titles, lyrics, artists, release years over 5 decades (within his genres). He was always the "go-to" for music trivia among friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time at his lake home, singing karaoke, socializing with friends and spending time with family.

He is survived by his daughter Kristi (Doug) Ohnstad; grandchildren, Quinn Ohnstad and Kennedy Ohnstad; mother, Viola Anderson; siblings, Deb (Gary) Chesley, Dan (Peg) Anderson, Deanne (Kent) Week; niece, Sammi Jo Frank; nephews, Perry Week, Dana Chesley, and Chad Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer and his brother, Dennis.
