Darvin Daniel Hoefs passed away October 24, 2018.
He was born April 22, 1933 to Henry and Christine Hoefs, on the farm in Chaseley, ND. Darv was an entrepreneur; he farmed, worked sales of all kinds, and loved to travel and hunt with Mark. He lived his life to the fullest and helped anyone needing help.
He married Arliss Hart in 1951. Together they had three children; Kathy, Mark and Jill.
He married Elaine Otterson on April 24, 1987. In 1997 they traveled the country and settled in Texas until 2012, when they moved back to Fargo.
Darv was a wonderful father and grandfather to all of his kids, whether they were blood or not. He always had a hug ready for us. He will be missed greatly!
Darv is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Kathy (Rod) Schander, Loganville GA; son, Mark (Vicki) Hoefs, Jamestown, ND; daughter, Jill (Tony) Heck, Fergus Falls, MN; step-daughter, Patty (Darin) Vetsch, Fargo; step-daughter, Shelly Otterson, Fargo; brothers, Mylon (Laura) Hoefs, and Hank (Gloria) Hoefs; 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Darvin is preceded in death by his parents, Christine and Henry Hoefs and sisters, Allette Sucket and Audrey Albrecht.
A Celebration of Life will be held next summer.
