Darold Martin, 85, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo.
Darold D. Martin was born November 19, 1929 in Leonard, ND to Jack and Bertha (Thompson) Martin. He grew up and attended school in Enderlin, ND. He joined the US Air Force with which he served from 1946-1953. He married Charlotte Deitz and they had 5 children.
In 1961, Darold married Lorraine Blotsky in Fargo, ND and together they had two children.
Darold loved his work as an over-the-road truck driver. He drove for International Transport in Rochester for 15 years and Elliott Transport System for 13 years, retiring in 1995.
Darold is survived by his children, Debbie (Mark) Gastron; Jeff Martin; Julie Kollar; Robert (Cindy) Martin; one sister, LaRue Bearman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Joel, David, and Jack; and sister, Darlene.
