Darlene Marie Young (Rinke),88, died peacefully in her home on November 19, 2020, with her family beside her. Darlene was born in Kragnes, Minnesota, on August 10, 1932, where she resided and attended school. She married Orville Young on September 17, 1950 and eventually made Fargo their home.
Darlene raised four children and was very active in her church. She always had an "open door" policy. You were always welcome and never went home hungry. She was a great cook, baker and could help whip up food for a household of people in no time. Besides living in the country, south of Fargo, Darlene and Orville bought a lake home on Little Cormorant. Both places were a hub of gatherings, celebrations, holidays, and reunions. Darlene was the glue that brought everyone together, and what wonderful memories were created! There is no doubt she is having a reunion with all the people she loved in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents Annie and Clarence Rinke, her brothers, Alvern, Roger, and Robert, along with her sisters, Jeanette and Lois.
She is survived by her four children, Craig (Melda) Young, Scott (Linda) Young, Rodney (Debbie) Young, and Renae Lammer; her sisters Mavis and Shirley, along with nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
