Darcy Rae Nyland, 44, Harwood, ND, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo.
Darcy was born on August 27, 1969 in Mauston, Wisconsin and was raised in Frazee, MN, where she graduated from Frazee High.
After receiving a degree in Nursing from Fergus Falls, she pursued with a passion, a career of dedication and support for those under her care; going so far as becoming Obstetrics Manager at St. Mary’s, Detroit Lakes, at one time.
Her marriage to James Johnson, Frazee, resulted in three children, Clint, Josie Rae and Mel. She met her current husband, Scott Nyland, in 2002 and together had a son, Lake.
She is survived by her mother, Darlene Bowen, Mt. Enterprise, TX; four children, Clint (Emily) Johnson, Detroit Lakes, MN; Josie Rae Johnson, and Mel Johnson, both of Frazee, MN; Lake Nyland, Harwood, ND; two brothers, Bruce (Suzanne) Bowen, Barnsville, MN; Daniel (Colinda) Bowen, Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, DeAnne (Charlie) Lessert, Wellston, OK; Donna (Loren) Guck, Perham, MN; many nieces and nephews, and her husband, Scott C. Nyland.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Bowen, and a brother, David Bowen.
We all will miss her bright eyes and special smile. Rest now in the arms of the Lord Baby Girl.
