Danny Short

Danny Short, Sr, 60, of Fargo, ND, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Danny Roger Short was born January 5, 1948, in Fargo, North Dakota, son of Roger and Genevieve (Lura) Short. He served in the U.S. Navy. Danny lived in Minnesota, California, Hawaii and over seas. He worked for the U.S. Government as a Military Criminal Investigator until his retirement in 1985, when he moved to Fargo. Danny graduated from NDSU with a Bachelors Degree in University Studies. Danny is survived by his wife, Ricarda Short, Fargo, ND; two sons, Christian (Crystal) Short and Danny (Emma) Short, Jr., all of Fargo, ND; two brothers, Jerry (Renae) Short, Detroit Lakes, MN; and Roger Short, Fargo, ND; five sisters, Peggy (Al) Zitzow, Vergas, MN; Jennifer (Chuck) Labish, Moorhead, MN; Robin Short, Vergas, MN; Laura (Scott) Derke, Detroit Lakes, MN; and Leslie Curtis, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service: Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at 10 A.M., at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, June 3, 2008, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Deer Creek, Minnesota
