Daniel Lewis

Daniel Lewis, 57, of Crookston, MN, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, surrounded by family. Daniel Robert Lewis was born December 22, 1952, at Rapid City, South Dakota, son of Robert J and Jacqueline (Kindt) Lewis. He graduated from Lisbon High School in May of 73. On June 9th 1977, he joined the Armed service and was there for two years. Dan made friends everywhere he went and was loved by many. He was said to be the one who did everything to the extreme. He is survived by his father, Robert Lewis, Sr.; daughter, Danielle (Ryan) Lukes; his two step-children, Troy (Tanya) Reinke and Melissa (Nathan) Toyne; three grandchildren Brenna, Mason and Rory, who he loved more than words can say; seven step-grandchildren; three sisters, Karyn (Bob) Fulton, Beth (Todd) Mairs, Louise (Earl) Johnson; three brothers Mike (Maureen) Lewis, Bob (Lhonda) Lewis and Ed (Nancy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie; and his mother, Mary; and his best friend, Larry Vanorny.
