Dale Thomas Pedersen, 67, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home in Fargo, North Dakota. Dale was born December 24, 1948 to Roy and Helen (Schmitz) Pedersen. He was one of three children. He graduated from Lamoure High School. Following high school, Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He served as a combat infantryman, serving four tours. He received several combat medals, including the Bronze Star. He was previously married and has three children, Tiffany, Tesha, and Cory.
Dale spent many years as a truck driver and as a commercial painter. He loved to spend time visiting and laughing with relatives and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading up on current events, spending time at the lakes, walks with his dog, Itsy, watching old westerns, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Twins—he was a loyal fan!
Dale is survived by his longtime special friend, Judy Ludwig; Daughters, Tiffany Robbe and Tesha (Todd) Telin; and son, Corey, (Angie) Pedersen; seven grandchildren; along with countless other special friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Doug and Roger.
Knowing and loving those close to him was truly the success story of his life. Dale touched the lives of many people with his infectious laugh, sense of humor, sensitivity, and generosity.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, April 28, 2016, 11:00 AM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 7th St. S. Fargo, ND 58103. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
