Dagmar Twedt, 84, of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN. Dagmar Brateng was born May 9, 1927, in Kindred, North Dakota, daughter of Gustav and Alma (Dahlen) Brateng. She grew up in Kindred and graduated from Kindred High School. Dagmar began working at Kindred State Bank. She married Vernon E. Twedt in Kindred on September 17, 1949. They made their home in Fargo. Dagmar took care of her home and raised their children. Dagmar was active as a Cub Scout and Campfire leader. She worked at Sears. Dagmar was a member of First Lutheran Church. Dagmar is survived by her children, Dale (Sue) Twedt, Audubon, MN; Bruce (Helen) Twedt, Aurora, IL; Mary Lockwood, South Wayne, WI; Diane (Rodney) Jordahl, Fargo, ND; David Twedt, Audubon, MN; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon, who died in 1986; and her sister, Isabelle (Ing) Sandager. Memorials are preferred to the First Lutheran Church Foundation Memorial Service: Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 10:00 AM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo. Visitation: Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 7 – 8 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial: Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at Kindred Cemetery, Kindred, ND.
