Curtis R. Norheim, 55 of Fargo, ND, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home after battling Lou
Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).
Curt was born April 23, 1958 to parents Eugene and Kathleen (Beth) Norheim. He grew up on a farm and went to school in Rock Lake, ND. He later attended NDSU. After moving to Fargo, he worked in construction and eventually opened Curt’s Transmission, a very successful business, which he owned and operated for over 25 years. Curt was a wonderful son, brother, and friend.
Curt was an avid fan of auto racing. He owned stock cars and was an active member of racing teams at the Glyndon, MN, and Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo. He was an excellent target shooter, enjoyed bird hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was loved by many and was a joy to his friends and family.
Curt is survived by his parents, Eugene and Kathleen Norheim of Rock Lake, ND, and sister, Sandi (John) Murphy of Middleton, WI.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunt, Betty Fonder.
