Corinne Winnefred Kvebak peacefully passed away in her home on April 30, 2011 surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Corinne was born November 17, 1924 to Albin and Minnie (Benson) Hanson. She grew up on the farm in Clitherall, MN and graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1943. She moved to Fargo in 1943 and worked for Red Owl Stores until 1948. Corinne married Parker O. Kvebak on October 5, 1946. She lived in Fargo where they raised their family. She retired from NDSU in the summer of 1988 after 20 years of service in the Home Economics Dept. Corinne was a member of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church for 50 years. Corinne is survived by three children, Brenda (Lynn) Hansen, Clitherall, MN, Brian (Sally) Kvebak, Mankato, MN and Bonnie (Art) Streed, Fargo, ND; six grandchildren, Carter (Fawn) Hansen, Bill (Mary) Kvebak, Amber (Mike) Banwart, Bryce (Leslie) Streed, Alissa (Will) Princewill and Courtney (Kristin) Streed; ten great-grandchildren, Kendra, Elizabeth and Morgan Kvebak, Annika and Preston Streed, Rylee and Chace Streed, Parker Smith and Samuel and Benjamin Banwart; Corinne is also survived by her sister Cecelia (Hjalmer) Larson, Abercrombie, ND; two sisters-in-law, Maxine (Russ) Hagle, Moreno Valley, CA, and Hjordis (Cliff) Root, Fargo, ND; along with numerous relatives and friends. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Parker; two brothers, Bob and Bill Hanson and her sister-in-law, Margaret (Paul) Lisburg. Burial will be alongside Parker in Osterdalen Cemetery in Argusville. Funeral: Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 10:00 AM at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church.
