Cordell Alan Kiser, age 39, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care after a serious abdominal infection, one week before his 40th birthday.
Cordell was born on August 28, 1972, in Fargo to parents Keith and Sandra (Wang) Kiser. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Fargo. He graduated from Fargo South High in 1991 and had travelled to Europe visiting several countries with the South High Jazz Band. Cordell attended Interstate Business College (now Rasmussen) and went on to work at several places including Paradiso, Woody’s, City of Fargo, and Fargo Public Schools. He was employed at Frank McKone Company at the time of his death.
Cordell married Julie Nelson on June 4, 2004. He loved cooking and grilling, as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR, Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Minnesota Vikings, and gummy bears.
Cordell had a heart of gold. He would, and did, give anyone the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Cordell leaves his wife Julie, parents Keith and Sandra Kiser, sister Jane (Keith) Harrison and nephew Jack Harrison, and his mother-in-law Jean Nelson, all of Fargo; his father-in-law Loren Nelson of Peoria, AZ; three uncles; four aunts; eight cousins; and his lovable dogs Tanner and Ollie.
Cordell was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Alice Wang and J. Wesley and Myrtle Kiser, and one cousin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a cause or charity of the donor’s choosing.
