Cora Alvina Hennings, 83, of Fargo, formerly of West Fargo, died Wednesday, November 30, at Eventide Living Center. Cora Hennings (Heller) was born January 24, 1928, to Frieda and Christian Heller in Kindred, ND. She attended school in the area. She moved to Fargo, ND, in 1940 and was employed at Woolworth and Fargo Laundry. She met Detlef Hennings in 1946 and they were married January 8, 1949. They spent six months in California before settling in West Fargo. They retired in 1977 and moved to Vergas, MN. After Detlef’s death in 1989, Cora moved to Hawley, MN. They had three children, David Hennings of East Grand Forks, MN; Jonathan (Cheryl) Hennings of Boise, ID; and Joselyn (Joe) Murphy of Ely, MN, and two grandchildren, Allison and Zachary Hennings. Cora is survived by her children, grandchildren, and four sisters, Adelia Stensgard, Moorhead, MN; Olga Priewe, Fargo, ND; and Selma (Fred) Curtis, Kansas City, MO; Nora Dauner, Hawley, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Frieda, and three brothers, August, Wilhelm, and Albert Heller.
