Cora Diedrich

Cora M. Diedrich, 76 of Fargo died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Cora was born May 14, 1931 in Bowdon, ND to Johan and Lizzie (Sorensen) Soma. She grew up in Glenfield, ND where she graduated from High School in 1949. She moved to Fargo and married Walter Diedrich on October 18, 1950. They lived in Columbus, Indiana for a year and a half while Walter was in the service. She worked from 1972-1990 at the NDSU food services as a cook and later as a clerk/checker. She is survived by her husband, Walt; three daughters, Terry Diedrich, Valparaiso, IN, Nicki Jacobs, Crosby, MN and Lisa (Cory) Ylitalo, Wolf Lake, MN; one sister, Helen (Robert) Weed, Devils Lake, ND; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Jacobs, Crosby, MN and Ryan (Shannon) Jacobs, Irvine, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters. Memorials preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church – Building Fund, American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Funeral: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
