Our mother, Colleen Cronin was born November 24, 1927, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Amy Lillian (Burling) and Frank Patrick Cronin. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Colleen married Larry “Moon” Cullen September 14, 1948, in St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo and together, they raised their family. Throughout her life, she enjoyed bridge club with her lifelong friends, golfing, walking, shopping (especially for shoes) and traveling with her husband, her children and grandchildren. She was young in spirit and formed a special bond with her 11 grandchildren, who called her Grams. Those of us blessed to have known Colleen, will fondly remember her youthful spirit, playful sense of humor and boundless energy. As daughters, we will always appreciate the example she set as a mother, her unconditional love, support and acceptance. Colleen died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 16, 2008, under the care of her daughters with the support of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
